Download a backup of your Minecraft server
We understand you may need to download a backup of your Minecraft server for safekeeping or archival. Backups by default include all your server files, excluding any MySQL databases created via the Databases tab. We've outlined the easiest way to do so below:
- Head to our game panel at panel.lilypad.gg and select your server, then press the Stop button to shut it down.
- Select the Backups button in the sidebar, before pressing the Create Backup button followed by Create. For most servers that are only a few GB in size, this will only take a few minutes, although larger ones could take longer as we have to create and then send the backup off-site for redundancy.

- Click the three dots next to the newly created backup once it's finished generating, and select Download. This will download a .tar.gz file to your computer, which can be extracted using a tool like 7-Zip on Windows, or just by double-clicking it on Mac.
Want to download your server's world to share it with your friends?
You can instead right-click the world folder in the Files tab and select Download which will download a .tar.gz file to your computer, containing just your server's world.
